Its been years since Android users asked Google to introduce the much needed dark themes and it was only recently that Google made dark mode alongside its white themes.
Using dark theme may be mainly due to personal preference and also due to saving battery batteries especially after Google made it known that the RGB colours consume more battery power.

Months after introducing dark mode to web and iOS, it finally made an appearance on Android. To activate dark mode on Android, Tap on your Profile Icon > Settings > General > Dark Theme.
Google always seems to use Android messages as its test ground for new features, and it was one of the apps that featured the dark theme. To Turn on dark mode on Android Messages, Tap on the three dotted menu at the top right, and tap Enable Dark Mode.
Google doesn’t have an official step to activate dark mode on the Google keyboard (Gboard). To turn on the dark theme, go to Gboard settings then head over to Themes and select any black theme and apply.
Users of Google News can now finally say goodbye to the white theme that strains their eyes whenever they are reading the news in the evening. Google News dark mode changes the whole app interface to black, and it can be turned on automatically at night when battery saver is on or at all times. To turn it on, head over to Settings and select Dark Theme then mode
While it may be disappointing to know that this dark mode is not app-wide, at least it is on Navigation. Night mode provides a nice interface and to turn it on, head to Navigation Settings, in the Map display section under the Color scheme, Tap Night.
Google Authenticator has been helping many people secure their accounts using 2 Factor Authentication, and a dark mode is a well-deserved reward for the app. Toggle the in-app menu and select the dark mode.
Who doesn’t like a dark theme when using a photo editing app? Googles photo editing app Snapseed. To turn it on, head to the App Settings and under Appearance toggle on Dark theme.
Android Dark Mode Using Pixel Launcher
Google Pixel launcher can be used to turn on Night mode to a certain extent if you use the right dark wallpaper. Applying a primarily dark wallpaper, the launcher automatically adapts and applies a dark theme. This only applies to where the menu, app drawer, quick settings and volume slider.
Some Web versions of Google services also have Dark Mode, and this is how you can turn them on.
Gmail supports custom themes hence its web version has dark mode support. Though the dark mode only covers the main interface and disappears once you open a mail. To turn it on, hit settings and select Themes. Under the themes, select the Dark next to the default white and hit save.
Youtube TV Web
YouTube TV only has a dark mode for its web version, and it encompasses the entire interface and menus. To enable YouTube TV’s dark mode, click on your Profile > Settings > Dark Theme > Toggle On.
