Ariana Grande has been away from the spotlight for a while primarily because of the series of “not so cool” experiences she has had lately. First, it was the loss of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller and most recently, her break up with the Saturday night live star Pete Davidson. Late on Tuesday night, the “Dangerous woman” singer posted a short note on her Instagram story with white texts on a black background. The note read “OK today was v special, and I’m so grateful i was able to be there.” She was referring to tapping the NBC’s A Very Wicked Halloween with Frozen star, Idina Menzel. The outing is the singer’s first public appearance since she broke up with her Fiance Pete Davidson.
The Tuesday night Instagram post was also the first time Ariana would address her split with Davidson. “time to say bye bye to the internet for just a lil bit. It’s hard not to bump news n stuff that I’m not trying to see rn. It’s very sad, and we’re all trying very hard to keep going. Love u. and thank u for being here always.” The singer has since deleted the post from her Instagram story.
Ariana shared a few photos from the Wicked taping as described how she feels with another photo in her IG story. “Can’t believe I almost let my anxiety ruin this for me today!! Not today Satan! Not tomorrow or the next day either not no more u can suck my big green d–k. finna sing my heart out and be a big walking vessel of love bye.”
The day before her split with Davidson, Ariana pulled out of performing at a charity Gala the same way she did not attend the 2018 Emmy as he was taking time to heal from the hurt of the loss of her ex-boyfriend.
Sources shared with E! News that Mac Miller’s death affects Grande significantly “She has been struggling emotionally and is not in a situation where she should plan a wedding. She had to take a step back and just breathe for a minute. She’s been completely overwhelmed and wants to slow down.”
Another source agreed that Ariana was “truly hurting from the death of Mac and feels very overwhelmed with her life right now.”
The source continued, “Ariana hasn’t given herself enough time for the grieving and healing process, and feels like her emotions are out of control.”
Grande did not specify when she will be making a comeback to social media, but when she eventually does, her fans will be set to welcome her.
