How to Create Your Own Emoji Using These 5 Best Emoji Maker Apps

Moreover, even if there are enough emojis, they will never have a personal touch of the emojis that you have created yourself.

Emojis may be the best way to convey emotions in messages, which is why they are furious today. No matter how many emojis Unicode is continually adding, emojis will always be missing.

I mean, the Unicode Consortium recently approved Emoji 13.0, bringing a total of 117 new emojis, including new smileys, more neutral emojis, food, animal, and flag emojis, and more. But they are not enough.

Moreover, even if there are enough emojis, they will never have a personal touch of the emojis that you have created yourself. So, if you have always wanted to make your own emojis, here are 5 emoji apps to make your own emojis.

Create your own emojis in 2020

Here we have revealed five different emoji maker apps that you can use to make your own emojis. Also, ensure you are aware of the meaning of old emojis, so you don’t misrepresent them during the creation process.

Create your own emoji thumbnails with Bitmoji

Bitmoji is one of the most favourite emoji maker apps in the world, especially since it is tightly integrated with Snapchat and offers a wide range of custom stickers.

Bitmojis recently joined third-party programs like Tinder over the past year or so and there seems to be outrage among teens. The extremely customizable avatars created through the Bitmoji app are close to your real life and a fun and interactive way to talk.

The process of creating Bitmoji is very simple and straightforward. Although Bitmoji previously asked you to create an avatar from scratch, now you can simply click on the image and the app will present you with a bunch of stickers.

You can change your avatar if you think that’s not what you envisioned, directly choosing things like hairstyle, brow shape, colour, and other details.

Bitmoji will ask you to choose your avatar’s body type, followed by various outfits. You can press the “checkmark” in the upper right corner once your avatar is complete.

Bitmoji then continues to create a series of different emojis for you, depending on the avatar you created. They can be distributed on social networks or in messaging apps on your smartphone. Just open the Bitmoji app, select a bookmark, and share it.

Create your own emoji with ZMoji

If you want to make and share a cartoon avatar with friends easily, try ZMoji. This app reminds me of the good old days of Bitmoji, wherefrom the start you had no AI to help you.

You had to go out there and create an avatar from scratch, and ZMoji seems to have embodied the same. You can change everything from eyebrows, nose and hairstyle to face type, facial hair and clothes.

Once you have created ZMoji stickers for yourself, the app will ask you to activate the ZMoji keyboard so that you can quickly send stylized emojis or animated stickers (marked with a GIF tag) to everyone.

Well, I am not much of a fan of indie keyboards, but you can’t live without a ZMoji keyboard if you like animated emojis. It has a broad selection of stickers, and you probably won’t be running out of options anytime soon.

However, the biggest downside to ZMoji will have to be the large number of ads that this app offers, as sometimes they are slow and high subscriptions.

Note: The Android version of the application has been withdrawn from the Play Store. If you want to try it out, you can download it from APKPure.

Other applications to create your own emojis.

Emojily

Stickers may be the most significant trend right now, but emojis are permanent. And if you are looking for a way to go beyond the standard set of emojis available on your phone, Emojily could be the perfect app for you.

It offers excellent control over all aspects of the emoji creation process.

  • When you launch the app, you have the option to create new or random emojis. I love designs that throw the latter, but you have to choose the first option.
  • By selecting “New”, you will see a basic template for your emojis, to which you can add elements like eyes, eyebrows, hands or more to create something like this:
  • When you are done designing the emoji, you can press the save button on the left to upload your creation to your photo library. You can also click the share button on the right to send it directly to someone.

Note: Emojily gives you access to restricted items in the free version, and you need to purchase locks to have more control over the appearance. It will make the method even more fun.

The app has been withdrawn from the Android Play Store. But don’t worry, there is another excellent app that does the exact same thing. It is called Emoji Maker (Free), and you can download it if you are using an Android device.

Gboard Minis

Well, if you don’t want to download additional apps and use Gboard on your Android or iOS device, now you can create custom Bitmoji-like stickers called Minis from the keyboard app.

It uses both machine learning and art to recreate your face as a sticker by clicking on a selfie-and is entirely customizable.

Once you have created your minis, they will be available in the “stickers” section of your keyboard, and you can send them to friends just like any other sticker pack, in any messaging app you like to use.

There are over 100 styles of stickers available in 2 different packages, including Sweet Minis and Bold Minis.

Install: (free, Android and iOS)

Bobble Keyboard

Bobble Keyboard is another favourite app that is often compared to Bitmoji but differs a lot from Bitmoji in that it uses their selfie to create an avatar.

Still, instead of making it a full avatar, Bobble uses a cartoon version of your selfie in various stickers, GIFs and even different stories. It is an entertaining app to use, especially if you want to annoy your friends with spooky stickers.

The Bobble Keyboard, as the name suggests, allows you to share labels using its dedicated keyboard easily. But if you don’t want to use the keyboard every time you want to send a sticker, you can also add them to WhatsApp stickers section.

Creating your own emojis might seem like a daunting task, but these apps certainly make it easier for you to design custom emojis. Popular apps like Bitmoji or Bobble can help create stickers or avatars, while apps like Emojily can be used to create highly detailed emojis easily.

So, have you ever wanted to make your own emoji? If so, which app did you use? In addition, if you know of any other good emoji maker app that you think deserves a spot on this list, bring them to our notice in the comments section below.
