Ever since smartphones started becoming a serious word on everybody’s lips. People have always been looking for a way to get the latest smartphone, built with the latest trending technology at the cheapest price ever.
That’s why we are all looking up to black Fridays on November or cyber Mondays; we can’t wait for the time to come when we can buy things for half the original price. We are all automatically attracted to budget-friendly products that have any little feature attributed to an expensive high-end product.
Fast-forward to our present day smartphone market. The dual camera lens is one of the trending features right now. For a smartphone to be considered high-end and 2017-2018 worthy, it must have the dual camera lenses somewhere around the back.
Unless the brand is Google that managed to push pixel 2 and 2 XL smartphones into the market with only a single and powerful camera lens and still made the phone trending. By the way, Google’s pixel 2/2 XL smartphones had the best camera in 2017, taunting Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+, Galaxy Note 8 and Apple iPhone 8/8+ and iPhone X combined.
In this post we are not going to write about these high-end devices, you must have read about them somewhere or even confirmed by yourself that Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL has the best camera so far. Instead in this post, I am going to show you a budget smartphone as low as $131, produced by Sharp (remember the big old sharp?)The smartphone has a dual camera lens mounted on its rear.
Sharp Pi is so different from sharp’s recent offers. Not only did it drop the “Aquos” name. The sharp pi is an entry-level smartphone with a traditional 16:9 display.
When talking about the design, sharp built the pi with into a polycarbonate body with faux antenna lines at the back. A speaker grille could be seen at the bottom left corner of the rear. Sharp also didn’t bother too much about the bezels at the top and bottom levels but the side bezels where encouragingly minimised. Making it look a little bit lesser an entry-level smartphone.
The Sharp Pi has a 5.2” HD display, runs on 2GB RAM, and a MediaTek processor MT6737T quad-core processor powers it.
Built-in storage is just 16GB, but it’s expandable via a microSD card slot.
Finally, now that you know the specs Sharp pi features let’s talk about the camera. The dual camera lenses sharp blessed this phone with are both 13MP and 2MP sensors. The sensors could be seen horizontally placed at the top right-hand side of the phone’s back. In the front, the selfie camera spots an 8MP sensor.
The phone also has a fingerprint sensor which can be found buried under the front home button.
Sharp pi runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. It has 3000mAH battery, a Bluetooth 4.0 technology and LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity are also present.
Unfortunately, Sharp Pi is currently available for purchase only in Vietnam and Indonesian smartphone markets, and it was set to go on sale for; 2,990,000 Dong($131) and 1,899,000 Rupiah ($133) respectively
