You most likely have heard the kids talk about PSvue. Well, that’s the cool way they have chosen to call the PlayStation Vue.

In this article, we will be discussing what the PlayStation Vue is; it’s plans, pricing, and channels.

What is PlayStation Vue?

There are several streaming networks currently available for you to choose from. However, if what you want is a streaming service that offers almost precisely what you get from traditional cable, which is more channels in a single place, then you have the PlayStation Vue at your service.

With each plan you decide to subscribe to you can get a variety of base channels, and the price range is from $45 to $80 monthly.

However, from the 24th of July 2018, an increase of %5 monthly for new subscribers was implemented. Below is a breakdown of the original prices:

  • Access ($50): Access is the cheapest or most basic package you can get when you use the PlayStation Vue. You as many as getting 45 channels, from CNN to AMC and, ESPN to Fox News, and Disney, and more.
  • Core ($55): The core package is next after the access package, and it adds some sports channels like NBA TV, MLB Network, NFL Network, and even regional sports. If you are a foodie, you’ll also get access to the Cooking Channel and some extra movie channels.
  • Elite ($65): This package will get you BBC World News and a wide range of other movie channels (including some rare and unusual movies on demand) that you never knew about.
  • Ultra ($85): This is for people who are ready to invest good money into television. This plan features everything you can find in the Elite package, but with Showtime and HBO added to it. And if my opinion counts, I’d say that isn’t a bad deal at $10 per month, as both of them will cost you much more money if you were to subscribe to them separately. You will also have unlimited access to both the Showtime Anytime app, and the HBO Now apps.

Standalone channels on PlayStation View

If you will prefer to go with just one of the more basic plans on PS Vue and add on from there, you can do it. Below is the add-on subscriptions break down (featuring all prices monthly, and all comes with free trials).

And here is a friendly reminder that the Ultra plan includes Showtime and HBO for as low as $20 over the elite program, and you get to save $6 every month over separate subscription to them.

  • Sports Pack ($10): With this, you’ll get Goal Line, Bases Loaded, NFL Red Zone, MLB Strike Zone, ESPN Classic, the Longhorn Network, NESN National (that’s New England sports), and Outside TV.
  • EPIX Hits ($3): A fantastic movie add-on. Expect it to be included with both the Elite and Ultra plans.
  • Espanol Pack ($4): Spanish-language channels.
  • FX+ ($6): Everything you can’t get enough of from FX, on-demand, and commercial-free.
  • HI-YAH! ($6): For lovers of Martial-arts and Asian action movies.

If you wish, you can also add stand-alone premium channels. The channels include:

  • Showtime for $9 a month
  • HBO for $15 a month
  • Fox Soccer Plus for $13 a month
  • HBO and Cinemax for $20 a month
  • Cinemax for $15 a month
  • HBO and Cinemax for $20 a month
  • EPIX Hits and Showtime for $12 a month

Bear in mind that prices may change from time to time and are also subject to occasional promotions. The only question at this point is how to build your favorite PlayStation Vue bundle.
