Back in October 2018, WhatsApp launched its stickers feature and created a buzz even though WhatsApp was late to the party. Other chat apps like Viber, Hike, Telegram, and others have since had them as an extra feature. WhatsApp aims to give a strong fight by adding features for stickers.

The app comes pre-installed with just seven stickers’ packs. However, you can create a personalized sticker for WhatsApp. In addition to creating your stickers, you can also import some from other chat apps like Telegram. Download Telegram.

In this article, we’ll tell you how to use your telegram stickers in WhatsApp for Android. Meanwhile, to use your telegram stickers on WhatsApp, you will need to download them first from telegram and then import them into WhatsApp. Here are the steps in detail.

1. Download Telegram Stickers

To download stickers from Telegram, it involves three significant steps. First, you will need to get the sticker pack link and then download its ZIP file using the StickerDownloader bot. After which, you have to extract the ZIP file.

Get Sticker Pack Link

Telegram allows you to download both individual and full sticker packs. To download an entire sticker pack, kindly follow these steps below:

Step 1: Open the telegram app and then tap on the three-bar icon at the top left corner of the app. then go ahead to select Settings.

Step 2: Scroll down in the ‘Settings’ section and tap on ‘Stickers and Masks.’

Step 3: Tap on the three-dot icon which is next to the sticker pack that you want to import to WhatsApp and then select ‘Copy Link.’

Note: You need to have installed the stickers first in telegram before downloading them.

Open Sticker Downloader Bot

Step 1: In the Telegram app, tap on the ‘Search’ icon and search for StickerDownloadBot. Then tap on it to start chatting with it.

Step 2: You will receive a few options at the bottom including the Settings. Then the bot will send you a message asking you to select the output format. Select “webp” only.

There’re two important things to mention here. First and foremost you will get the Settings option at the bottom but in a case where you don’t see it, merely type Settings and then send it to the bot. Then choose the webp format.

Secondly, by now you must be wondering why you are supposed to choose the webp format only. That is because Telegram allows you to download stickers in all formats. That’s when you tell it to download a pack; it will share the ZIP file for all formats such as png, jpeg, and webp. But we only need the webp format for WhatsApp. The reason we selected that.

Step 3: Now go ahead and paste the sticker pack link which you copied earlier above in the StickerDownloadBot chat thread. You’ll get a message that says the ZIP file will be available soon.

Step 4: Once you are done with the step above, you will receive a file, tap on the ZIP file to download it. The file will download to the following directory “Telegram >> Telegram Documents folder.”

Note: You can also download individual stickers as well. But for that, you will have to send to the StickerDownloadBot. You will get in the webp format in a ZIP file. The rest steps remain the same.

Extract ZIP File

Now, you will need to extract the content of the ZIP file, and for that, you can either use a File Manager like ES Explorer or Solid Explorer that support ZIP extractor. Or download a ZIP extractor from Google Play Store.

Once you are done extracting the ZIP file, the stickers will be saved in Telegram >> Telegram Documents >> Sticker pack name. You are then required to move this Sticker pack folder to the main directory in your internal memory, or you put it inside the Pictures folder on your device as the app that we are going to use to import it into WhatsApp does not recognize this directory.

2. Import Stickers to WhatsApp

Step 1: Install Personal stickers for WhatsApp on your device by downloading from this link. Download Personal Stickers for WhatsApp.

Step 2: Launch the app, and you will see the sticker pack folder here. Tap on “Add” next to it. You will receive a pop up asking you to confirm. Then tap on Add.

Note: If you don’t see the exact sticker pack name, look for webp folder.

Step 3: Open your WhatsApp and then go to Stickers, you will find the newly installed sticker pack there. A small bubble will appear at the top of the sticker pack indicating that it’s a new pack.

Be Creative

That is how you can import your Telegram stickers into your WhatsApp. However, while you can download stickers from Telegram, you can easily create your sticker packs from your selfies and other images as well.

Share your thought with us about this article and don’t forget to mention it to your friends so they can also enjoy the cool stickers from telegram messenger.
