The Umidigi A7S is the World’s 1st AI Thermometer Entry-Level Smartphone and last member of the Umidigi A7 series. The entry level smartphone as launched after the A7 Pro and A7.
Umidigi is quite known for releasing affordable smartphones with some good specifications, running on stock Android OS.

Design and Display
The Umidigi A7S is attractively designed with bright colors and 3D unibody model. Standing at 6.53 inch, this smartphone offers a tall display with minimal intrusions.
Umidigi ustilises the waterdrop notch design for the selfie camera and the chin is very slim. The receiver sits atop the selfie camera. The tiny bezels available are there to to maintain structural integrity.
Over to the rear side of the phone is the triple camera cutout that houses the raer lenses, the infrared sensor and the dual tone flash light. These are all beautifully arranged in two columns on the top left side.
Umidigi decided to sacrifice the fingerprint sensor may be to cut down costs or for reasons best known to them. The UMIDIGI brand name sits at the buttom left.
At the left hand side of the phone is the SIM and MicroSD slot and also an new addition: Independent Shrtcut Key which can be customized with about 7 different functions. The right hand side holds the power and volume keys.
At the top side of the phone is the 3.5mm jack while the base has a an external speaker, a Type-C reversible USB port and a decicated mic.
For some reason, Umidigi decided to abandon the its popular 2.5D glass finishing in favour of a polycarbonate body for the Umidigi A7S.
In the display department is the 6.53 inch HD+ full screen LCD with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Screen resolution stands at 1600 x 720 pixels. The color options available are Granite grey, sky blue and peacock green.

The Umidigi A7S has an 8MP selfie camera.It is important to know that Umidigi makes no modififcations to its camera software hence much should be expected in terms of features. There is AI beautify. selfie cout down and Face recognition available though.
The rear camera module consists of a 13MP main rear camera lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens with upp to 120 degrees field of view and a 2MP depth sensor.
This camera setup is more than good enough for a low entry smartphone as most Infinix and Tecno devices under this category rarely go a 13MP + QVGA set up.
The lack of a front facing LED flash may put some people off, but with the help of the Google Camera Go with Night Mode feature, you may not miss the front flash.
Hardware and Memory Specifications
The processor specifications of the Umidigi A7S is quite low as it is powered by MediaTek Quadcore MT6737, 4x Cortex-A53, with 1.25GHz speed. The graphics processing unit available is the ARM Mali-T720-MP1, with 650MHz speed.
There is an infrared thermometer on the smartphone, used for taking external temperature and can serve as a key equipment in battling COVID-19.
In the memory department, there is 32GB of storage space paired with 2GB of RAM space and the UMIDIGI A7S can support up to 128GB extra memory expansion.
