You can’t eat it RAW, you have to cook it with pepper soup or jollof.
You should know this if you are a Nigerian at least that is how we do it over here

I would not advise it to be eaten ral. It is hard when mot boiled. Boiling makes it tender and brings in a little taste to it. Cook it.
