This article will guide you on how you can power your Android smartphone to Android 9 Pie without the risk of rooting your device.

How to get Android Pie on your smartphone

First, you have to make sure your home screen looks like then stock Android 9 Pie. To do this, you have to download Pixel launcher APK file from the Google Play Store. Once you are done installing it, you will need to grant permissions and set it as default launcher.

Now you have to download some cool default Android P wallpapers, or you can download an app which can do that for you from the Play Store. Select your desired image and set it as the home screen and lock screen wallpaper.

We are done with the interface, let’s get to the one button navigation gesture part. For this, you have to download any gesture app like Navigation gesture or X-Home bar app from the Google Play Store. Once you are done installing the navigation gestures app, go ahead and allow all the necessary permissions. The newly established gesture app will replace the three button navigation bar with one button pill just like the Android Pie.

With the Android Pie, the search giant has also introduced a new feature Digital well being to combat smartphone addiction. This feature comes with an App Timer and Dashboard. To get the Dashboard features you can get apps like Forest or Off time. They will give you an idea about much time you spend on a particular app.

To add the App Timer feature, you can download from the Play Store apps like App Block or App off timer which somehow has similar functionality.

So that is the way to make your typical Android smartphone look and feel like the Android 9 Pie. But if you think this is not enough for you, then you have to wait till the update comes to your device but if it has, go ahead and get the permanent Android Pie for your devices.
