Ads can be very annoying, and I’m sure this is a thought I share with thousands of people. If you are one of the many people using an Infinix or a Tecno device, then you probably will be looking for possible ways to avoid those ads that pop up when you’re using your device.

These ads show up as a result of TECNO’s new update to HiOS and Infinix’s latest update to XOS. In case, you are not aware, HiOS/XOS is a specially customized version of the Andriod Operating System on TECNO and Infinix smart devices. Every other ad comes from your installed apps.

Released in 2016, the XOS or the HiOS skin works well without issues, and looks have a very pleasing appearance. However, these operating systems come with unwanted features that eat up so much space on your device, putting you always in search of space for selfies and other things. One of the frustrating features is the display of unnecessary ads.

These irrelevant ads come in two different forms. The first form is the “Instant Apps,” which offer you different games you can play without installation. The second is a rotating icon that appears on the app screen that also shows pop up ads.

When TECNO was contacted about the issue of ads, the smartphone maker mentioned that it had plans to solve these ads’ problems. However, these changes would not be affected now or in the nearest future.

With many TECNO users repeatedly complaining about the ads and spam messages, there is no denying the need to find an alternative solution to this issue. However, there is good news. There are a few ways to stop these annoying ads on TECNO, and we will share it with you in this article.

Below are a few ways to hide or remove these recurrent frustrating messages from your TECNO device.

Once you are able to complete the above steps successfully, you won’t have to deal with the pop-up ads anymore.

Ad Block Browser for Android

Apart from doing a launcher update, there is another way you can stop ads on Infinix and TECNO phones via third-party apps.

One of such applications is the Ad Block Browser for Android devices. This browser, developed by eyeo GmbH, comes with an inbuilt ad blocker that stops ads from popping up on your screen when you are busy.

The application offers options that allow you to disable tracking and block all, if not most, ads. With this app, you can choose the type of search engine you want to use. You do not need to download this app with any money as they are available for free from the Google Store.
